The numbers are in. Once again you, the community, the many volunteers, and media outlets have contributed to the success of FOLK's Used Book Sale.

Thanks to the many volunteers who add to the success of the book sales. Our volunteers come from many avenues: individual volunteers who love books and the Kingwood library, Kingwood Women's Club, both Kingwood and Livable Forest Chapters of our local National Charity Leagues, and Boy Scout Troop #839.
 
Thanks to all who assisted FOLK in spreading the word of their May Used Book Sale.  Those spreading the news include, but are not limited to: Lone Star College, The Observer, Our Tribune, Humble and surrounding ISDs, Coffee News, Kingwood Club liaisons, Flowers of Kingwood, Kingwood Now and Radio.

FOLK's last quarterly Used Book Sale will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2009.  With the opening (keep your fingers crossed for December 2009) of the new Kingwood Library, FOLK will have an in-house (open daily) bookstore.  We will need a lot of volunteers to staff FOLK's bookstore. Even though the planning of the bookstore will not get underway until after the August sale, should you be interested in this volunteer opportunity,  you can fill out the bookstore volunteer form at FOLK's website: www.kingwoodfolk.org.  You can watch the new library be built via the library's website: www.hcpl.net (Kingwood Branch).
