The participants and caregivers at SarahCare Adult Day Center are determined to make a difference. By participating in the 2009 Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk®, they have committed to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer research, as well as for care and support for people already affected by the disease.

Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's. Unless we find a way to change the course of the disease, 16 million Americans will have Alzheimer’s by 2050.

The SarahCare team invites you to join them for the 1k walk that will start at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2008, at the Kingwood Town Center Park (8 N. Main Street, Kingwood).  SarahCare has made arrangements for Jason Consolacion (a former Kingwood resident and now a songwriter in New York) to provide entertainment.   If you cannot join the walk but would like to support SarahCare team’s fundraising goals, donations (payable to “Alzheimer’s Association”) should be sent to Lisa Suarez, Executive Director, SarahCare, 23972 Highway 59 North, Kingwood, TX 77339.  For more information, please call 281/361-7000.
