Art Dog Studio Presents a One Man Show “Realism with Attitude” by Elton Wayne (Buddy) McElroy on Saturday, November 22nd, 2008 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Artisit Elton Wayne (Buddy) McElroy has been painting for over forty years starting with oils on canvas.  As a high school student in northern Japan, he studied under an accomplished Japanese artist and learned to appreciate realism in oil painting.  While attending college he was introduced to to acrylic medium which he has continued to work in since.  Although acrylic is his preferred medium, he also works with pastals, prismcolor, charcoal and airbrush.

He enjoys painting most any subject matter but seems to have a flare for portraits and wildlife.  The term that has become his motto is "Realism with Attitude".  It is the result of his constant effort to paint the world he sees as realistically as possible without losing the essence of artistic expression.
