Kingwood Park’s Invisible Children Club and Class of 2013 Officers are getting together to form an incredible event that will help the Invisible Children of Uganda. For all of you who don’t know about Invisible Children, read on…

There is a war going on in Uganda and many young children are being forced to serve as rebel soldiers.  Kids are being kidnapped while they are sleeping, and they are forced to fight or risk death or torture.  Also, their schools have been destroyed by the 20 year war that has been going on there.

Kingwood Park’s Invisible Children Club and Class of 2013 Officers are working together to raise awareness to help rescue the children and raise money to help rebuild one of the war torn schools in Northern Uganda.  They are sponsoring Pabbo Secondary School in the Schools 4 Schools campaign.

The Walk-it-Out will take place on the Kingwood Park High School track at 4015 Woodland Hills Dr.  It will start at 9:00 am and end at 11:00 am on November 14, 2009.  The group is asking for each walker to get at least $10 in sponsorships.  Kingwood Radio will DJ the event and the first 50 who come with at least $10 in sponsorships will get a free t-shirt.  Get your walking shoes laced up and prepare to Walk it Out!
