Kingwood Rotarians are pleased to announce that they have chosen Mark Linabury, owner of KingwoodNow.Com and KingwoodRadio.com, to be the first recipient of their Outstanding Business Award.

“Mark Linabury consistently exemplifies the core qualities we uphold: “service above self”, plus high ethical standards of honesty and integrity,” said Robert Westover, president of the Kingwood Rotary Club.  “We appreciate Mark and the positive influence that he has had in our community.” Westover said.

“KingwoodNow.Com and KingwoodRadio.Com consistently provides us with positive news about people, events, and businesses in our community,” said Westover.  “Mark is someone that our community trusts, and respects.”

“We decided that the recipient of this award should adhere to the fair and truthful principles of business practice reflected in Rotary’s 4-Way Test: Is it the truth? Is it fair to all concerned? Will it build goodwill and better friendship? Will it be beneficial to all concerned?” said Charlie Buscemi with the Kingwood Rotary Club.  “Mark Linabury is an excellent example of someone following our 4-Way Test in his personal, business, and his community service life,” said Buscemi.

"It is truly an honor to receive this award from the Kingwood Rotary Club." said Linabury.  "Their group exemplifies community value and pride in the Livable Forest of Kingwood, Texas.  Helping create and maintain that sense of community value and pride is the foundation for each of my projects."  

The award was presented to Mark on February 5, 2009 during Kingwood Rotary Club’s weekly dinner meeting at the Kingwood Country Club.
