True to its name Kingwood-based GrowthForce is growing. GrowthForce has opened a new sales office in Florham Park, NJ, to service the New York metropolitan area. GrowthForce provides outsourced bookkeeping and controller services, as well as QuickBooks system design, to small and medium sized companies.

Mike Cassano, a 20 veteran of the financial software industry, has been hired as GrowthForce’s vice president of sales to run the new office. New York area clients will be served by local QuickBooks experts and a dedicated team of bookkeepers and controllers at the GrowthForce Service Center in Kingwood.

GrowthForce President and CEO Stephen King said the company has been contemplating a satellite office on the East Coast for some time, but he feels that the timing is now right to make the move. One reason is the state of the economy. “As the economy starts to turn, historically new businesses spring up,” said King. “We will be ready to capitalize on that predicted trend.”

King, a native of New York City, is very familiar with doing business in the New York market. For seven years, he led Virtual Growth, a business he founded in New York City’s Silicon Alley. In 2001 when Virtual Growth was acquired by Administaff, it was the largest outsourced accounting firm in the country. Administaff eventually sold the business back to King who established GrowthForce in 2004.

GrowthForce’s remarkable growth was recently recognized by the Houston Business Journal. The firm was named to the 2009 HBJ Houston Fast 100 Power Five and Fast Tech 50. The awards are given to the fastest emerging growth Houston-area businesses based on percentage of revenue growth from 2006 to 2008.
