You are invited to attend a Welcome Home Event for Veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan and their families who live in the Greater Houston Area.

All veterans of the Post 9/11 era, their families, community organizations, elected officials, local businesses and military supporters are invited to attend a day of FREE food, games for kids, entertainment, music, adaptive sports demonstrations and so much more!

Date: Saturday, August 1, 2009

Time: 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

                  Houston, TX 77019

The event will also feature a resource fair for returning veterans and their families that focus on GI Bill and Hazlewood education benefits, employment networking and services, mentoring program information as well as important updates on VA healthcare, mental health, home loans, compensation and pension benefits and entitlements.
