Harris County Hosts a One-Day Job Fair
Harris County Precinct 4 Commissioner Jerry Eversole announces a Harris County Job Fair scheduled for Wednesday, July 15, 2009 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Humble Civic Center, 8233 Will Clayton Parkway in Humble, Texas.
Precinct 4 is cohosting the job fair with Harris County’s Human Resources & Risk Management office. Numerous Harris County departments will accept applications and resumes for clerical, technical, and professional positions. Several Harris County departments are seeking bilingual applicants, however, all applicants must be able to read, write, and speak English.
Harris County offers an excellent benefits package, and enrollment in the Texas County and District Retirement System (TCDRS) is a mandatory requirement of all employees. Other benefits offered include access to a full-service credit union as well as a variety of training programs available to help employees improve their interpersonal skills, enhance career development, and manage the stress of work and personal life. Harris County also offers employees a choice of three optional deferred compensation "457" savings/investment plans in which employees may participate on a voluntary basis.
